Electric trucks

Already have trucks on order? Charge them here, whoever you bought them from. Need trucks? Electric Class 8, including the Tesla Semi and others: buy, or lease through our financing partner, subject to credit approval. Physical damage insurance for trucks leased through Zeem, through a program being finalized, held in your name through a licensed agent.

Funding for the truck

  • HVIP, up to $225,000. Point-of-sale voucher for a Class 8 battery-electric drayage tractor serving the Ports of LA and Long Beach, including the port plus-up. First come, first served.
  • WAIRE, up to 85% of the truck. For trucks you buy that serve warehouses in eligible Southern California areas. Leased trucks are not eligible.
  • ZE-TRIP, $60 per terminal visit Proposed Up to $36,000 per truck a year for zero-emission trucks at the ports. In development, expected early 2027.

MyGrid at your yard

Have a yard, or want one? MyGrid is Zeem’s modular charging system, delivered on a skid and built for fleet duty cycles: power in months, not years. Charge with us on Terminal Island while your own site is built.

Funding for your yard

  • Charging infrastructure, not only trucks. Air district and utility programs help pay for chargers and site power.
  • Built to be funded. Build America Buy America compliant and incentive ready.
  • One contract for the infrastructure, the operations and the financing.

Program figures are public program maximums, not Zeem commitments. Eligibility varies by fleet and truck; programs are first come, first served and subject to change. ZE-TRIP is a proposal and is not yet open.

For the truck or for your yard, we do the paperwork.

  • TrackWe watch the programs that fit Southern California fleets, for trucks and for charging, so you move on current rules.
  • FilterWe check what you qualify for against your trucks, your terminals and your site.
  • ApplyWe write and file the applications on your behalf.
  • AdministerWe see it through to the money and answer to the funder for the life of the award. You provide data and approvals.

What fleets ask us first.

The depot isn’t open yet. Why talk now?

The trucks, the incentives and the charging are arriving together, and HVIP is first come, first served. Fleets that enroll now get a written charging plan before the depot opens in early 2027.

I already have electric trucks on order. Can I charge them here?

Yes, whether you bought them or lease them, and whoever you bought them from. Tell us the make, the model and the delivery date, and we build the charging plan around it.

What is the difference between spot and contract charging?

Spot is pay per kWh, with parking by the month: built for fleets whose volumes swing. Contract is one fixed monthly fee per truck that covers off-peak charging, parking and inspection, sized to your annual miles. We help you pick.

What does it cost?

It depends on your trucks, your miles and whether you run spot or contract, so we put it in writing for your fleet rather than quote a list price. Enroll per truck and pay for what you use.

I don’t do port drayage. Can I still charge here?

Zeem Long Beach is built for Class 8 drayage. If you run other Class 8 work near the ports, ask us.

Will an electric tractor pull my loads?

We find out on your lanes, not on paper. Tell us your loads and routes, and ask about a demo before you commit to anything.

Do I have to lease through Zeem?

No. Buy with the incentives applied, or lease through our financing partner, subject to credit approval. The charging is the same either way.

I have my own yard. Can you help there?

Yes. MyGrid brings charging behind your own fence, and funding exists for charging infrastructure as well as trucks. Charge with us at the depot while your site is built.

Who does the incentive paperwork?

We do, for every truck you enroll with Zeem. We write and file the applications and handle the reporting for the life of the award. You provide data and approvals.
